OF PRAYER
The Power Ministries will be sponsoring S.U. Week of Prayer beginning on Tues., Nov. 13 and ending on Mon. Nov. 19, 2001. The theme for the week “A New Heart: A Heart After God.” The scriptural focus verse is II Chronicles 7:14. The week will kick off with a thirty minute prayer in the Mocha Room of the Smith-Brown memorial Union from 1-1:30 p.m. on Tues. On Wed. Thurs. & Fri. a t 12 p.m. prayer meeting under the tree in front of Pinkie Thrift Hall. Ending the week on Mon., Nov. 19 with a Celebration Service in front of the Union from 12-12:45 p.m. During those seven days, everyone is encouraged to pray at least 30 minutes daily. HONDA ALL-STARS
SU is now accepting applications for the 2001 Honda All-Star Challenge Campus Tournament Team. Applications will be accepted from individuals, departments, clubs, sororities, fraternities and other student organizations. Teams will comprise of four students and two alternates. Each team member must be enrolled and in good standing at SUBR. The winners will represent SU in the Honda National Tournament featuring HBCU’s in Orlando, Fla., and compete for more than $305,000 in prizes. Deadline for applications is Monday, Nov. 26, 2001.
